COVID-19 & Your insurance
Recent media reports relating to COVID-19 have created some uncertainty about insurance cover for members in super funds.
To clarify this reporting and reassure our members, we can confirm if you already have insurance with us, then you are covered for pandemics including the COVID-19 coronavirus. This also applies to new members receiving default insurance with VISSF – you are covered.
No exclusions exist in your VISSF insurance for pandemics, including COVID-19, for any existing cover or new members with default insurance cover.
For members who want to arrange extra cover - you can still do this. The normal underwriting assessment process, waiting periods, and terms and conditions will apply. Before making any decisions, we encourage you to check our Insurance Guide.
It is worth noting, insurance cover is only available to VISSF members who have an accumulation or defined benefit account.
