Finding Lost Super

You might be richer than you think

Did you know that one in two Australians have lost super? It totals billions of dollars in unclaimed super funds, and some of it could be yours! If you have changed jobs, names or address then you may have lost or unclaimed super.

Why is my super lost?

Your old fund(s) may have reported you as a lost member to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) or transferred your account to an eligible rollover fund.

How to find lost super

VISSF can search for your lost or unclaimed super on your behalf using your Tax File Number.

You can provide your TFN and consent to find lost super via your Member Online service. Simply register for Member Online, it takes less than a minute and your password will be emailed to you instantly. Then all you need to do is log in to Member Online, provide your TFN and consent, so VISSF can periodically search for any lost or unclaimed super you may have.

We will then contact you to help you combine any super monies we find, into your VISSF account. This means you can also avoid paying ongoing fees to several funds. There's no cost for this helpful service, although you should check with your other fund(s) whether it will mean loss of other benefits like insurance.
