Each school may appoint two representatives to the Policy Committee – one appointed directly by the school's governing body and the other elected by the VISSF members at the school. The member representatives on the Policy Committee elect up to four of their number to act as member-representative Trustee Directors and the school representatives elect up to four of their number to act as employer-representative Trustee Directors.

The Policy Committee meets with the Trustee annually to discuss the operations of the Fund and any matters that may have been raised by members or employers.
