Retaining your VISSF membershipVISSF aims to help ensure continuity of your super even if you leave your current school employment.

If you leave the employment of a school participating in VISSF you do not have to take your benefit out of the Fund.

What if my new employer is not part of VISSF? If you commence employment with an employer that is not a participating employer in VISSF, your new employer may join the Fund and make contributions into your VISSF Member Account.

Your new employer does not have to be part of the education sector to become a participating employer.

What happens to my insured benefits? Be aware that any insured benefits you have will cease when you are no longer employed by an employer that is making contributions into your VISSF Member Account. However, you may take out a personal policy with the Fund's insurer to maintain your cover.
