How is VISSF managed?
The operation of the Fund is governed by a legal document known as a Trust Deed. The Trust Deed sets out the duties and powers of the Trustee as well as the conditions of Fund membership and the rights and benefits of members. The Trustee is responsible for managing the Fund.

How is the Trustee Board elected?
The eight Directors of the Trustee comprise of four member representatives and four employer representatives. The Directors are elected from the Fund’s Policy Committee which provides a key communication link between the VISSF members, the member schools and the Trustee.Each school may appoint two representatives to the Policy Committee – one appointed directly by the school’s governing body and the other elected by the VISSF members at the school. The member representatives on the Policy Committee elect four of their number to act as member Trustee Directors and the school representatives elect four of their number to act as employer Trustee Directors.The Policy Committee meets with the Trustee three times each year to discuss the operations of the Fund and any matters that may have been raised by members or employers. A representative from the Fund’s investment consultants attends the meetings to provide an update on the Fund’s returns and what has been happening in the investment markets.
